License & Activation

  • Your license key is in the email receipt from Polar
  • Enter your license key when prompted on first launch
  • An internet connection is required only for activation
  • Each license is valid for 1 device at a time

Installation

  • Download from your email receipt or the download page
  • Windows: Run the .exe installer and follow the prompts
  • Mac: Open the .dmg and drag FilmBase to Applications

Transfer License

  • Need to move FilmBase to a new computer?
  • Email us with your license key and we'll deactivate the old device
  • Then activate on your new machine as normal

Billing & Receipts

  • All payments are one-time — no subscriptions
  • Receipts are emailed automatically by Polar
  • For refund requests, email us within 14 days of purchase

Data & Backups

  • All data is stored locally on your machine
  • Use File > Back Up Project to create backups
  • We recommend backing up regularly to an external drive or cloud storage of your choice

Bug Reports

  • Found a bug? Email us with steps to reproduce
  • Include your OS, FilmBase version, and screenshots if possible
  • We aim to respond to all reports within 48 hours
