License & Activation
- Your license key is in the email receipt from Polar
- Enter your license key when prompted on first launch
- An internet connection is required only for activation
- Each license is valid for 1 device at a time
Installation
- Download from your email receipt or the download page
- Windows: Run the .exe installer and follow the prompts
- Mac: Open the .dmg and drag FilmBase to Applications
Transfer License
- Need to move FilmBase to a new computer?
- Email us with your license key and we'll deactivate the old device
- Then activate on your new machine as normal
Billing & Receipts
- All payments are one-time — no subscriptions
- Receipts are emailed automatically by Polar
- For refund requests, email us within 14 days of purchase
Data & Backups
- All data is stored locally on your machine
- Use File > Back Up Project to create backups
- We recommend backing up regularly to an external drive or cloud storage of your choice
Bug Reports
- Found a bug? Email us with steps to reproduce
- Include your OS, FilmBase version, and screenshots if possible
- We aim to respond to all reports within 48 hours
