Is this a subscription?

No. All licenses are one-time payments. You pay once, and FilmBase works for the duration of your license. There are no recurring charges, ever.

What happens when my license expires?

Your data is always yours. When a timed license expires, you can still access and export your data. You just won't be able to create new projects or make edits until you renew. The Perpetual License never expires.

Are there any feature differences between plans?

No. Every plan includes the full feature set — scripts, scheduling, budgeting, reports, AI tools, and everything else. The only difference is the license duration.

Do I need an internet connection?

Only for activation. After that, FilmBase runs 100% offline. All your data is stored locally on your machine — nothing is sent to the cloud.

Can I use FilmBase on multiple computers?

Each license is tied to a single device. If you need to use FilmBase on multiple machines, you'll need a separate license for each. Contact us for team/studio pricing.

What does the Perpetual License include?

The Perpetual License gives you lifetime access to FilmBase with no expiry. It also includes 2 years of free updates from the date of purchase and priority support. After 2 years, the software still works — you just won't receive new feature updates unless you renew the update plan.
